Hello, my name is Brionna Long. My students call me, Ms.B. I am the founder of School of Nirvana, a private homeschool early education academy. I am a certified early educator and a psych major. I am a mother of two beautiful girls.
My first daughter is my inspriation for S.O.N. While I was working as a TA in the years of 2013-2014, I was exposed to the Montessori teaching techniquies. My daughter was one, at the time, which was around the age group that I was teaching. I wanted to branch out on my own, using what I had learned and include her in it. Suddenly, I was blessed with meeting a wonderful family with three girls, and they were around the same age as my daughter! It was a sign from God. I took the position.
Some of the things I love about Montessori tecniquies are the self directed learning and the core subjects. However, there were some things that I noticed that could be changed such as how to get the children to go to core subjects that they were not familiar with and giving them confidence in their areas of weakness. Therefore, I developed First Curriculum based off of Montessori with a personal touch of Ms.B.

The Goals
To help children feel confident within themselves to perform at the best of their abilities.
To create a positive base environment between child, teacher and parent.
To build efficient communication skills between child and peers, as well as their parents and teacher
The ability to count and identify 1-100
The ability to name and recognize shapes
Build language, reading skills and the ability to understand story plots
Basic mathematics addition and subtraction
Introduction to the first steps of reading including sight words and first level reading stories
